SpaceX’s next Starship test flight is off until at least next week after a last-second abort on the pad. The mega rocket was preparing to blast off Thursday from Texas when some of its engines failed to ignite. Without all 33 engines firing, the automatic launch system halted everything amid billowing clouds of smoke and vapor. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk says two engines will be replaced, with another attempt most likely early next week to send Starship on a space-skimming flight. It will be the 13th flight for the 407-foot Starship, the world’s biggest rocket. NASA is counting on Starship to land its astronauts on the moon.
