In less the 24 hours, Apple will kick off its Surprise and Shine event and unveil its latest slate of new devices, including at least two new Apple Watches, the Series 12 and Ultra 4. But some pre-event shuffling at the Apple Store could point to a third watch announcement during the keynote.

Based on the rumors and its usual cadence, we expected the Apple Watch SE 3 to stick around for another 12 months. But on Monday afternoon, all models and colors suddenly disappeared from the online Apple Store. Whichever case, size, connectivity, or band you pick shows “Currently Unavailable” for shipping or pickup. Even on third-party resellers such as Amazon, the Apple Watch Series 3 doesn’t list a delivery date.

You can purchase an Apple Watch Series 11 or Ultra 3 without a problem.

It’s unclear what this means. Apple doesn’t typically stop selling old models ahead of announcements, instead opting to upgrade buyers to the latest model for devices that haven’t shipped. This could mean Apple plans to discontinue the line or change it significantly, requiring an immediate halt to sales.
