Since coming to the Los Angeles Lakers in early Feburary, Luka Doncic has been laying down roots as the team’s main cornerstone. It has extended beyond his play, as he has been showing better and more vocal leadership as time has moved along.
One of the more important things a sports team can do away from the game is spend time together and bond as people, as having stronger bonds will translate to better chemistry and overall play. Per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Doncic put together a team bonding event on Tuesday, where players got to take part in the Porsche Driving Experience and try their hand at auto racing.
As I shared on NBA Today, Luka Doncic organized a team bonding event after practice today at the Porsche Driving Experience, sources told ESPN. Each Lakers player will get their choice of three different cars to test out on the tracks.

The Porsche Driving Experience isn’t cheap. A 90-minute session will cost, at the very least, several hundred dollars and well over $1,000 for most Porsche models, and a four-hour session will set someone back roughly $3,000 to $4,000.
Doncic did not play in the Lakers’ first two preseason games over the weekend, and it is unknown how much he will participate in their four remaining preseason contests. But he is definitely ready to go once the real games start after dropping a considerable amount of weight and getting into excellent shape over the summer.
He gave the world a preview of what may lie directly ahead for him by averaging 34.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 2.7 steals a game at EuroBasket 2025 while leading the Slovenian national team to the quarterfinal round.
