Broncos have 10 players on injured reserve entering Week 14

The Denver Broncos have ten players on injured reserve going into Week 14.

Among those players is running back J.K. Dobbins, who suffered a foot injury before the team’s bye week. Dobbins likely won’t be able to return this season unless the Broncos reach the Super Bowl. Other players on IR, such as linebacker Drew Sanders (foot) and guard Ben Powers (biceps), might be able to return sometime during the regular season.

Meanwhile, the Broncos have four players — fullback Michael Burton, guard/center Nick Gargiulo, pass rusher Johnny Walker and defensive end Matt Henningsen — on season-ending IR. They are not eligible to play again this season, barring a settlement and release from IR, which would allow them to join another club.

Broncos season-ending IR

  1. FB Michael Burton
  2. OL Nick Gargiulo
  3. OLB Johnny Walker
  4. DE Matt Henningsen

Broncos short-term IR

  1. ILB Drew Sanders (eligible now)
  2. Ben Powers (possible December return)
  3. TE Lucas Krull (possible December return)
  4. LB Karene Reid (eligible Week 16)
  5. OL Matt Peart (timeline uncertain)
  6. RB J.K. Dobbins (possible Super Bowl return)

NFL teams can designate up to eight players to return from IR per season. The team has used four of those designations so far, including one for Sanders, who figures to be activated at some point in the coming weeks.
